Before Rick moved back to Las Vegas and we made our relationship official I told him there was one condition, paramount to all else. He had to get along with my puppy, Lucifer. Luckily, they fell in love immediately and Rick takes every opportunity to remind me. The two of them are so attached that eventually we had to adopt a second puppy under the guise of getting Lucifer a brother. But really, I was starved of puppy affection. We adopted Dax from the same non-profit three years later.
